Taste of Orkney window stickers will help visitors to identify places to eat where they can be sure that local food and drink is used. This is in direct response to comments from visitors who were well aware that Orkney produces the finest quality food and drink and felt we should be doing more to highlight where it was available locally as this was not always clear. Taste of Orkney members have all been audited to ensure that they make the best use of local produce wherever and the scheme clearly identifies those restaurants, cafes and bars that do use it in their menus.

Obviously not all menu items will be available from Orkney producers but where they are, a member of Taste of Orkney 2007 will be expected to use them. The criteria for membership is simply that the member serves local food and drink products wherever and whenever possible.
